A Royal Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau matchstriker , I would think it dates from the 1900/10 period. the design of the piece is quite unusual with a domed shape pierced with holes for the spent matches and a striker area around the base, the art nouveau panels have an almost Liberty feel , the coulours are the typical blues and greens of the period.
It is a good size 4.5 inches aross the base and 3inches high. Marked to the base with Royal Doulton England 7151 BW hd and a \"wy\" in hand script . The condition I thought was perfect but it has had a repair to the top edge, the pottery inside feels normal so i think it more a deep graze chip, I have shown the area in the last pic, but it display really well.Still a great piece to add to a collection I will post worldwide.
