A Royal Doulton Lambeth Art Nouveau vase by Eliza Simmance. The vase stands on a rounded foot with the main body broadening at the shoulders before giving way to a narrow neck and flared rim. The vase has six panels of incised and stylized foliate designs with each panel slightly overlapping the other, there are applied beads to the sides of the panels and this is all set aginst a buff ground with the main decoration highlighted in green and blue.
To the base is the impressed Royal Doulton Lion & Crown mark along with the impressed date code - 1910. Also present is the incised mark for the senior artist Eliza Simmance and various assistants.

25cm high, 12cm wide - maximum, 8cm at the base

Condition

The vase has at some point suffered crudely repaired damage to the rim and neck on one side - the damaged area stops well short of the main body and decoration. There is a small loss of glaze to an area on the edge of the footrim. Please study the photos which form part of the description. Despite the above this is still a fine vase either for display or restoration.
