They are manufactured in Silicon ware with a high fired stoneware body and has an unusual applied decoration in the Aesthetic Movement manner. Stamps to the base would indicate manufacture in 1883 and the artist mark for Eliza Simmance and also decorator marks for Emily Randall together with further artist and decorator marks. It is considered to be a large and impressive pair which would be a great addition to a collection or display superbly as a decorators type piece.

The items are is in very good condition with no immediately obvious chips, cracks or restoration. There is some wear and fading to the gold particularly around the bases and rims as shown but this does not affect the appeal. There are also a couple of areas of small loss to the blue motifs as shown ringed but this can only be seen on close inspection. One of the vases has a small patch of missing glaze to the interior rim but this has occurred at time of manufature and again does not affect appeal or display of this superb and unusual pair. Weight - to the base with various Doulton Silicon Lambeth markings (as shown in the attached photograph for you reference).

We cannot determine this until the postcode is known but it only applies very infrequently. Insurance

All our items are packed securely, with a combination of chippings and bubble wrap to ensure safe delivery.We make a small charge for this but do not intentionally profit from this charge.
