Up for offer---Large RD Character Jug (6.5\") - Beefeater - (D6206) - designed by Harry Fenton and hand painted in the RD factory in England.This issue -marked C - was fired in the last firing of the traditional bottle oven in Stoke-on-Trent, England in 1978. The Yeoman of the Guard and warders of the Tower of London are colloquially referred to as Beefeaters --due to the large amounts of beef eaten by them in days of yore. The handle is marked ER (Elizabeth Regina) for Queen Elizabeth II.
The term \"used\" really means previously owned. It has been used only for display in a smoke free home and has never been used for any other purpose.
