Limited edition jug depictingWilliam Shakespeare having the face of Shakespeare on its spout. The handle illustrates the masks of tragedy, comedy and swords. The sides depict famous characters from Shakespeare plays. The jug features some of his best known characters to include Hamlet, Othello, Autolycus (TheWinters Tale), Portia (The Merchant of Venice), Macbeth, King Lear (seated),Ophelia (Hamlet), Shylock (Merchant of Venice), Touchstone (As You Like It), Katherine (Taming of the Shrew), Falstaff (Henry IV & Merry Wives). The jug was designed by Charles Noke and was issued in 1933 with alimited distribution of 1000. This jug is numbered 744.
The jug is in excellent condition.
