Fourth in a collection of figures, issued in a worldwide Limited Edition of 5,000, of which this is 4,325, from an original sculpture by Pauline Parsons.
Mary, (1542 - 1587) also known as Mary Stuart, was the only surviving legimate child of James V of Scotland. Following a highly eventful life spent in France, Scotland and in custody for over 18 years in England, in 1586 Mary was found guilty of plotting to assassinate Elizabeth 1 and beheaded the following year.
The figurine depicts Mary, in a full length Cobalt Blue gown, with decorative pink underskirt, holding her bible in her left hand, looking rather pensive.
The figurine, which measures 8\"/20.5cms tall,is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.
