The PRIZED centerpiece of the dining room china cabinet....surrounded by Florentine Gold China...even as a child I remember how beautiful this display was....the cobalt really set the stage for the Florentine!! This pitcherhasjourneyedthrough 3 generations ofour family...you will be the 4th known owner.
The pattern on thisPitcher was first produced by the Pinder Bourne & Co. and called Pomegranate. Pinder Bourne was purchased by Doulton & Co. in 1882 and the pattern was then produced by Doulton into the early 20th Century under the name of Persian Spray.
CONDITION: Overall, I would say Very Good to Excellent. Note Photos #6 & 7 at the edge of the red pen there is a surface hairline, found under intense light with a magnifying glass, approx. 1\" straight down. It does NOT go through to inside. Photo # 8 hairlines on the interior...again do not go through to outer surface. Pitcher held water for 24 hours.
This jug measures: 8.25\" at spout; base 4.50\" x 4\"
