For your consideration we offer a Royal Doulton Porcelain Figurine - \'The Puppetmaker\' - HN 2253 - designed by Mary Nicholls and introduced in 1962; discontinued in 1973. This lovely piece, featuring wonderful detail and bright vibrant colours, depicts the Puppeteer in his elegant work-a-day clothes. He is seated on a tall stool, proudly examining his latest creation; a puppet in the style of a highwayman. On the floor, beside the stool, is a beautifully dressed girl puppet, together with the tools of his trade, hammer, saw, pot of wood-glue etc. . The figurine, which measures 8\"/20.5cms tall, is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing.Backstamp reads \"Made in England / Royal Doulton / England / The Puppeteer / HN 2253 / COPR 1961 / DOULTON & Co.Limited / Rd.No. 900486 / RD.No. 41656 / RD.No. 8807 / RD.No. 46/61\" There are no chips cracks, nor repairs.
