Royal Doulton Staffordshire Pottery Greek Key Bowl 1880

We are pleased to offer this lovely soup bowl manufactured by Doulton & Co Ltd at Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent circa 1882. Doulton & Co Ltd were manufacturers of Victorian era stonewares and earthenwares in Staffordshire, England. This company later became the Royal Doulton China Company. This bowl has the standard impressed mark used circa 1880-1890 without the word \"England\". This earthenware/soft paste pattern features a black Greek key design with pink/coral rectangles decorated with floral sprigs. This flat soup bowl measures 9 3/8\" in diameter. It is marked with an impressed 7=83 and pattern number that is hard to read - might be A1385/2. It has light crazing from age; otherwise it is in excellent condition with no nicks, chips or cracks.
