Royal Doulton Tango Trio, 1935, Classic Art Deco, Signature Bone China Edition (#291544839105)This sale\'s offering is once again a Royal Doulton Tango Trio. The set is a genuine 1935 edition as confirmed by the V1481 and importantly the numeral 8 on each piece.
The Tango series was first released in 1934 and had the numeral 7 (7 years since the numeral system was introduced in 1927). The set offered here includes a round plate, the likes of which I had never seen in the V1481 series before I purchased this set.Prior to that I had collected the square plate editions only. In the 1950\'s Royal Doulton re-released a further Tango edition, it did have a round plate and also a round handle on the tea cup. It too is collectable but not Art Deco collectable as the original V1481.The V1481 (offering here) is a fine bone china edition. Beware the ceramic versions (varieties of color patterns) but never the gold and black V1481.
All in all this is a genuine offering of an original top of the range 1935 Royal Doulton Tango Trio set. You can\'t do better.
