Written on the bottom of the jug is, \"The Collector\" D6796. Modelled by Stanley (The remaining part of the signature is something that I cannot read). A special edition of 5000 from \"The Collecting World\" Series. Produced by Royal Doulton for Kevin Francis Ceramics. 1987 Royal Doulton and Kevin Francis Ceramics.
The included card reads, Royal Doulton \"The Collector.\" D6796. This hand-made, hand painted Character Jug has been commissioned by Kevin Pearson on behalf of Kevin Francis Ceramics Limited in a special edition of five thousand. This is the first of three in the series \'The Collecting World\' and depicts a collector fortunate enough to find the character jug \'Mephistopheles\', produced by Royal Doulton from 1937 to 1948. This is a large toby measuring about 6-3/4\" tall and approx. 7-1/2\" wide.
Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. I don\'t see any signs of crazing either. I do not have the original box.
