These pieces are Doulton\'s Series D3680 (very hard to read on the pitcher and not found on the other two pieces. The actual title is \"The Gallant Fishers\" by Sir Izaak Walton. There are actually TWO different types of characters - - the ones you see here and another series entitled \"The Compleat Angler\". That being said, here we go:
The series was first introduced in 1901 or 1906. Length of production was not recorded
The Pitcher is 8\" tall and, due to the shape, has an average diameter of about 4.5\", excluding thespout and handle The saying going around the inside of the rim is \"Of recreation there is none so free as fishing is alone\".
The Teapot is about 5\" from the bottom to the top of the lid. The diameter, at it\'s widest, is about 5.5\", excluding the handle and spout. Excellent condition, with a few very small \"smudges\" UNDER the glaze. The saying, going around the inside of the rim is the same as the pitcher (above). The last two words \"is alone\" are a bit faded, probably cause by putting the lid on and off.
The Platter is 18\" wide, from handle to handle and about 7.75\" high. What might appear to light blue \"smudges\" are actually low hanging clouds (or blue sky peeking through white clouds). Superb condition. The saying going around the bottom of the interior rim is \"And when the timrous trout I wait to take and he devours my bait\"!
