Here we have...A VINTAGEhand painted ROSE wall pocket vase,made by theGRIMWADES(ROYAL WINTON) pottery company, Staffordshire, England.
It features a colourfulhand painted FULL BLOWN ROSE and bud.
It bearsa backstamp and styling that indicate a manufacture date of around1940+.
Measures c. 27 cm long x 17 cm wide.Weighs 450 grams before packing.DISPLAYS BEAUTIFULLY!NO major CHIPS; NO CRACKS; NO REPAIRS.Coloured enamels strong and no fading.There is a very small fleabite to the edge of a petal. VERY hard to see unless pointed out. (See pic #10)The vase has the usual light crazing.
It is a BEAUTIFUL and scarce piece of ROYAL WINTON that deserves a place alongside any GOOD collection of Grimwades china or as a wonderful addition to a collection of wall vases.
