This is a stunning Royal Worcester plate decorated with highland cattle in landscapethe border with a blue d\'roi ground gilt gadrooningand ornate swagswith panels on a pink ground, signed by John Stinton

The plate is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs it has minor wear to gilding as per pictures

John Stinton (jnr)(1854–1956) was a British \"RoyalWorcester\"painter best known for his ‘Highland Cattle’ scenes

John Stinton (jnr) was one of a long line of the Stinton family who painted for theWorcesterfirm for some 160 years

Stinton was the eldest son, but did not take up china painting until the rather late age of thirty five

Besides Highland cattle, he depicted English cattle and produced many fine images of British castles on his plates and a large number

of watercolour landscapes.
