Russian silver spoon with gold wash. The following hallmarks are validated using Postnikova as reference.First hallmark is the assayers mark #17, page 148. It includes 84 as purity mark, face looking down and letter (а) . Mark for high quality silver items 1908-1917 Peterburg.

Second hallmark is A.L #1477, page 187. The stamp is on stem. Master silversmith listed as an Lubovin Alexander Benedictovich 1877-1917 (Любовин Александр Бенедиктович) owner silver factory.Third hallmark is an export stamp #3925B, page 261 Estonia (added later for export 1920-1940)Fourth hallmark is 875 in an oval, #3925б, page 261. This was used for silver pieces sent to Europe and beyond. It signifies silver purity of 87.5%. The original mark 84 uses the Zolotnik system, which has a base of 96 rather than 100. The equation 84 / 96 = .875. This was added between 1919-1940.
