The item offered here is 30 art cards (maybe used as postcards?) that I bought in Moscow two decades ago, right after the collapse of the Soviet Union. I don\'t collect postcards, but these were just too nice to pass by (literally, as I bought them from a street vendor).

These are two separate sets, two folders of 15 each, one showing beautiful antique jewelry, which I take to be Russian crown jewels from the cover illustration (there is text on the folders encasing the cards, but as it is in Russian, that didn\'t help me much).

These cards are really beautiful, which is what attracted me to them. Each measures about 6 by 4 inches, with a glossy finish. They have a tiny amount of descriptive text on the reverse, but the layout is such as I presume they could have been intended as postcards (though lacking the often seen format of address lines).

At any rate, I have scanned a few of them from each folder of 15, and these images are at the bottom of this page, though the scans didn\'t do any justice at all to these cards.

These are beautiful artistic artifacts of Russian history, published in the last year of the Soviet Union and displaying images going back to Medieval and Czarist periods.

I’m a longtime collector, not a dealer, and over the past 50 years I have collected a great variety of historical memorabilia. After retiring, I decided it was time some of the items from my various collections, and I have found a very good way to reach other collectors who might be interested in some of these.

This item will be shipped in several layers of cardboard for protection and for this package, the cost for First Class mail, with Tracking, is $3.50 (which includes no “handling charge” or any such nonsense, just my actual postage cost).

I go to the Post Office twice a week, so shipping generally occurs within 1 to 3 business days of receipt of payment.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Foreign/overseas shipping is not a problem, BUT please consider before you offer that shipments outside the United States have to be at your own risk, as items can’t be insured when sent by regular overseas airmail - an item can ONLY be insured if sent by a much more expensive overseas airpost method.
