Beautiful Russian Lacquer box in Shape of a Bird House by one of the top Fedoskino artists Nikolay Zotov. This box is very elaborate with beautiful scenes of wildlife hand painted by the artist.A bald eagle is hovering on the top of the box. Onthe lid of the box siberian huskies are portrayed in the russian winter. One the top of the box a shape of a tree is all hand painted. All throughout the box beautiful scenes of the winter landscape are breath taking beautiful. Size 7 x 11 x 4 inches ( 18 x 28 x 10 cm ). Most lacquer boxes like this one are made from compressed papier mache which makes the material harder then wood. The box is signed by the artist.
