A Russian lacquer box painted in the town of Palekh in 1974. The lacquer artist depicts the tale of the golden-haired maiden on the lid. The exterior of the box is in excellent shape, however, the interior red lacquer has started to peel. The box is signed by the artist in the lower right.The box measures 5.5x4.25 inches and comes with the original certificate of authenticity.
