This exquisite Russian Orthodox Feast Days Icon is from ca. 1850-1880. The sacred scenes are hand painted. The medium is egg tempera on Gessoed wooden boards.
This was imported from Russia in the early 1990\'s by a missionary friend of mine. I can guarantee that this is 100% original. This artwork has not been cleaned or re-touched in any way. It has remained just as the iconologist was inspired to paint.
The icon measures 13 3/4\" X 12\" X 1\"
