Incredibly Intricate and Beautifully hand crafted blue mitre worn by Russian Orthodox Hierarchs and Clergy (archimandrites, protopresbyters, and mitred archpriests).
This exquisite mitre is adorned with 8 hand painted icons of the Mother of God (Theotokos). Each icon depicts a well known and highly venerated image of the Virgin Mary from Russia - The Feodorovskaya, Tikhvinskaya, Smolenskaya, 7 sorrows, etc.
Blue is the color worn on all feasts of the Virgin and with the icon theme and color of the mitre, this item is the perfect adornment to beautify services during each feast celebrated in Her honor throughout the course of the year.
The mitre is beautifully woven with silver thread and decorated with semi-precious stones including pearls, in the pre-revolutionary style, adding charm and a sense of antiquity to it.
The mitre is size 56.5 but can be stretched to 58 if necessary.
