This is miniature silver version of an Imperial Russian M1889 Chevalier Guard helmet with the double headed winged eagle crest. Obverse with star sloped front visor and \"lobster tail\" rear visor. Obverse with officer\'s star with Russian order of Saint Andrew, with raised center planchet emblazoned with \"For Faith and Fidelity\" in blue enamel surrounding a raised Imperial double headed eagle emblem . Fine detailed double-headed crowned eagle with outspread wings and St. George coat of arms on breast.2 7/8\" high, wing span width 2\", front to back 3\".124.97 grams.There are several hallmarks (see last pic), but I cannot attest to their authenticity of the hallmarks as many Russian silver artifacts which have come to market during the past generation have been questionable, so I cannot guarantee that it is made pre-1900. I bought it in the late \'90\'s as genuine, but please look at the pics and make up your own mind. This is one of the reasons I\'m starting the offerding so low.
