MADE OF ALL BRASS & COPPER WITH A GOOD OVERALL OLD EVEN ORIGINAL
SURFACE / PATINA
(The rod appears to be solid brass with the boat & directional being copper)
This came from an OLD home here in New England part of a good nautical collection; this weathervane dates early 1900’s
Note: See the screw and nut application attaching directional to the center rod
this was a functional weathervane that sat atop an outbuilding for years along theConnecticut coastline

AND APPROX 9-5/8” WIDE FROM THE SAIL ON THE FAR LEFT TO THE WAVE THAT ACTS AS AN ARROW DIRECTIONAL TO THE RIGHT
THE NORTH- SOUTH- EAST AND WEST ARE FORMED IN THE SCRIPT LETTERING STYLE WHICH REALLY BRINGS OUT THE UNIQUE FORM WITH SORT OF AN VINTAGE ART DECO PERIOD
