This piece was sold to me as a Navajo old pawn, there are no hallmarks and it is guaranteed sterling. This is without a doubt a very old Navajo piece, it could be nothing else. Unfortunately, many of these older pieces were not signed. ***I want to add that this is a big, bold cuff but the turquoise is domed and the way the cabs sit on the cuff really helpsthem shape to your wrist. So even though it is a heavy piece, it is really comfortable to wear if you have a 7\" wrist.***
What I love about this piece is that the turquoise is just huge chunks of domed Kingman, looking very natural....gorgeous! The turquoise in this cuff is just amazing Kingman turquoise! It is a beautiful blue with wonderful black matrix, the stones are very thick and raise up quite a bit above the bezel. There is just a lot of turquoise to this piece. I do not see Kingman much better than this...there are no nicks, chips, scratches, cracks to these stones. They are just huge beautiful chunks of very old Kingman turquoise.....Just gorgeous! ****There are very tiny, what looks like bits of neutral matrixto the 2 side stones. There even is a tiny spot on the center stone. That is a natural part of the stone, please refer to the pictures. This is not a flaw or an aspect of age, but I thought I should mention it. I added 2 pictures of the side stones taken indoors.**** This turquoise is very high quality natural Kingman!
This cuff weighs 85g! The silverwork is very solid, but simple...nice braids around the stones, but it is clearly all about the stones! The cuff measures 6\" and the gap is 1\" (unisex), there is no flexibility to this piece. It is 1 3/4\" at its widest and over 1/8\" at its narrowest. The left stone is 1 1/8\" x 1\" and the right stone is 1\" x 1 1/8\". The center stone is 1 1/2\" x 1 1/2\". This is such a wonderful piece!
It is in excellent condition for vintage and guaranteed sterling. It is a very high quality piece with excellent workmanship.
This avery solid, quality piece that will last a lifetime. (And its value will only increase with time.)
