The tiny box measures 4 1/2\" long from front to back, 2 3/4\" wide, and is 3 1/4\" tall (6\" with the lid up)! It FABULOUSLY ORNATE, elaborately embossed with wonderful French embellishments including a raised open music book on top inscribed \"LES ROSES\" with fancy scrolling around the lid, wonderful FLORAL GARLANDS around the sides and back, and DETAILED piano front with ELABORATELY FASHIONED piano legs!

When opened, there is a MAGNIFICENT all original interior lined compartment measuring 3 3/4: long with TUFTED SILK in a lovely shade of LIGHT PINK, which has been almost PERFECTLY PRESERVED through time! Underneath is the French maker\'s mark, \"DEPOSE, 283\" in raised digits; at one time this DELIGHTFUL miniature would have most likely been a very special trinket box offered in an EXCLUSIVE Parisian shop!
