18th Century Hexagon Shaped Candle Lantern
This is an exceptional piece ofAmericana. The glass isundisturbed and appears to be original to the lantern. This same style of lantern isreferenced in Herbert Schiffer\'s Book, \"Antique Iron.\" For ease of adding and removing the candle, the bottom is removable. When in place, the bottom is held in place with two clamps. The candle socket is cleatedthough the bottom. The door has two light, and a fine working latch. The lantern is a standout piece and speaks for itself. 11\" high by 4\" diameter.
Lantern will be shipped carefully packaged in an oversized box for extra protection.
