A Very nice SET of 4 Antique sewing buttons - silver gilt - Pave set Persian Turquoise - stamped \"800 \" with Hallmark \"FB\".

Measure large size, 1-1/8\", have shank backs, and are in good vintage condition.

The turquoise cabochons set into 800 silver have aged slightly, as you can see, into different shades.To my knowledge, this is a typical natural reaction of Persian turquoise, which is a porous stone that absorbs moisture from the air over the years. One button may have a replaced stone ~ hard to tell with the variations in color and cut. Estate find, so exact age unknown, Circa 1950\'s or earlier.
