Welcome to Iconic Iron and Oddities. I am offering a set of Two(2) Early 1900\'s M.B. Schenck Co. 3\" Industrial Swivel Cast Iron Double Wheel Casters.These casters do not come around often, and a true piece of early industrial history.The M.B. Schenck Co. was founded in Meriden, CT, with their early wheel patents dating back to the 1870\'s.Model \"Yale 282\", with its\' beautiful design and engineering.As mentioned earlier, these wheels measure 3\" in diameter, with a 3/4\" width. The mounting plate measures 3 1/\" x 4 1/2\".These casters have been refurbished, and are in great working condition, with all wheels functioning properly.Casters do not contain any cracks or breaks, although some crude early casting lines are present.The last photo shown is an early advertisement from \"Hardware Dealers\' Magazine\", dated April 1914.All my items are cleaned lightly with a wire brush or steel wool,while taking care to retain the items original patina, character and its age. Beautiful set of casterswith an enduring history, and ready for any industrial project or decor.Iconic Iron and Oddities is located in SouthEastern Massachusetts, in the industrial heart of New England. Surrounded by all the largest and early mill towns of the last few centuries, I am able to obtain and recover some of the most unique and truly authentic items you will find anywhere. Icontinually comb the area for vintage industrial cast iron items, as well as various original factory/mill items from times past...... it is my passion, and I am a collector as well. I specialize in antique/vintage CAST IRON industrial cart/ caster wheels only.....NOT the pressed metal casters of today.
