Antique hand tools - saw #183:
Up for sale is a very nice Atkins No:56 / \"etched to order\" Warranted Superior Graduated RIP SAW with a London Spring Steel Blade, freshly hand sharpened.
This is a regular sized 26inch / 660mm long rip saw, perfect for the joiners workshop, a fast cutting graduated 6PPI at the toe 5PPI at the heel rip saw, freshly hand sharpened to 5° of rake, this saw would date to around the 1912-20s era, these were a second quality line of Atkins saws but still 100% better than most hand saws you\'d find available in your local hardware shop.
It has a gorgeous crisp chip carved cherrywood handle & a London Spring steel blade.
This saw is a nice size, perfect for the workshop or toolbox, nice & sticky sharp. Weight - 760g overall length - 77cm
CONDITION
This saw is in authentic vintage condition, freshly sharpened & set, partial legible etch, an old tight check under the top horn, a super nice crisp chip carved cherrywood handle, a patch of pitting to the centre rear blade, ready to go to work for the discerning woodworker.
