What a great piece! Wood Case is in very good condition, some wear to inside mirror surface. Dated 1914.

Shomescope Manufacturing Company, Kansas City, Missouri, patented this Shomescope viewer March 26th, 1914. There were stereoscopes for 3D viewing of special double image cards, but this gives the same effect to regular postcards and photos with a reflecting magnifying mirror. You have to be at the right angle, but the further back you are the better the images look.
