For your consideration is this STUNNING Authentic English Art Nouveau Sterling Silver & Enamel Brooch! This gorgeous piece is so very stylish! Theintertwined arch design is flawless as is the vivid blue enamel the artisan worked into the face of the brooch! The brooch is marked on its backside with theappropriate (4) cartouche for a make in England, but the stamps are a little hard for me to decipher (please see pictures). The first is a maker\'s mark which looks to read either \"MC\" or \"MG; the second cartouche looks tobe a rearing lion (standard mark); the third mark mark looks to be closest to be the crown mark for Sheffield, England; and the final markis an \"S\" date mark. Please use your own judgement on attributions - and please don\'t hesitate to ask for more pictures! Regardless, this piece is authentically Art Nouveau (ca. 1890-1910). The brooch measures 1 7/8\" in diameter and is quite impactful! This piece is right up there with some of the Art Nouveau masters such as Charles Horner, John Atkins, etc.Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions!
