EXQUSITE true american art of an 105 year old Native American painted by Dan j. Taulbee in 1959. The art is 12\" x 10 1/2\" and frame makes it 17 1/2x 15 1/2 total.It has high relief strokes that is painted on WOOD! Taulbee was born in 1924, and his love was for painting Native American scenes. This painting is very personal to the artist because the 105 year old person in painting was a friend. He also wrote a full page message on back of frame about this woman. Here it is! \"Old Anne Pierre-Flathead or \"Salish\". \"For 105 years an indian\" Old Anne was my friend. She and I talked and smoked much together . She was someone that everyone liked. She loved to chew cigars and always got her some when going to her place. She was around this country when the \"Black Robes\" were just greenhorns. She was wife to Sah Pierre and had 13 children and many others after that.\"
