This is a unique if not VERY rare original Simchas Torah Flag created in time for the High Holiday period immediately after the victorious and liberating 6 Day War. As you can see, the heroes of the war are depicted on the Flag (alas, where are they now today and what have they done for our people since then?!). Here are Moshe Dayan, Arik Sharon, Yitzchak Raban, bar Lev and Ezer Weizman. On the right is a cartoonish depiction of the liberated Wailing Wall = Kotel and IDF soldiers on the right bringing the "Torah to Zion"! in the center is the symbol of the Israeli defense forces sword and olive branch! On the upper left is a configuration of Israel\'s fighter jets who made the war a much easier one (with the help of Almighty G-d). On the bottom of the Flag are the words in Hebrew "Rejoice and be glad in the happiness of the Torah".
I cannot overestimate enough the value of this historical Flag. Contains just the paper without the stick that Flag came with.
Measurements: 12.5 x 9 1/4 inches.
Unfortunately, since this Flag was found on a rainy day it still has some mud on it and needs to be cleaned gently. There are some tears here and there but no text is missing. Some holy 6 day war period glitter remains!
