1954 Singer Freearm Sewing Machine 110V US Voltage #EJ618161
This model of the 222K was manufactured in March 1954, 2nd edition. It is the
110V model and runs on North American electrical current.
Singer manufactured the aluminum body of the machine in their Kilbowie plant in Clydebank
Scotland and then shipped them to the St. John Quebec factory where they were outfitted with the
Canadian 110V motors for the North American market.

The machine has excellent gold trim as seen in the photos. The brilliant chrome \'sew/darn\' cover
was used for the first 3 years of production.

There is evidence of use, rare use, visible only if the machine is held and turned to catch reflected light.
The appearance is like new. It is a gorgeous machine.
The black enamel has a brilliant, glossy shine. The machine has never been stored in garages or the like,
the inner workings are a testament and proof of that. It comes from a 1 owner home. Included are:
All the attachments originally sold with the machine including the embroidery foot.
The Singer Swiss made zigzag attachment # 160990. Complete with 4 cams. It makes an
excellent walking foot as well. Cams are numbered 1239.
An excellent reproduced manual with stitched binding.

The foot pedal is complete and original to the machine with long, flexible, wires. It has been adjusted
to run all the speeds.
The white cotton pouch included protects the machine\'s enamel finish from being damaged
by the plug prongs during storage. It was sewn on this machine. The belt is excellent and the rubber feet are new. The case is in very good condition with no musty odor.
Clearly this machine has been well cared for over the years. It comes with the original key.

Mechanically excellent, the machine is powered by the 110V North American current motor. The motor
is strong, fast and very quiet as is the machine itself. It\'s worth noting that the 222K was never produced in the
US but rather in Clydebank Scotland and Quebec Canada. I have been collecting, servicing and adoring this model of Singer for years and have taken great care to insure
that the machine is in perfect running order. The tension, bobbin area, belt, oil and lubrication have all been
gone over. The motor brushes are like new. A Rare and Exceptional machine
