This RARE and TINY toy musical instrument was acquired withseveral AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE Fashion accessories that came in their originaltrunk, some of which we will offering for sale shortly!

Circa late 1800\'s, this TINY TREASURE may have originally been intended as a HOLIDAY ORNAMENT that would have hung from a feather tree, however the most ASTUTE collector of Fashion doll accessory items would find this wonderful miniature to be the PERFECT DISPLAY in a Poupee\'s MUSICROOM or dollhouse and room box VIGNETTE; a tiny little gem coveted in the most SEASONED collections, and they don\'t come any BETTER than this!

This sweet little violin case is made of LITHOGRAPH PAPER on stock cardboard and is made to resemble GRAINED LEATHER as evidenced by the darker lined pattern on the brick red paper! It measures 3 1/8\" long and 1 1/8\" wide at the largest end, and has it\'s original tiny BRASS HANDLE and faux lid latches made of embossed GOLD DRESDEN paper, and is stamped in purple ink on the underside \"GERMANY\"! When opened, it reveals it\'s white PAPERED INTERIOR that houses the most fabulous tiny TOY VIOLIN which is still secured on it\'s removable cardboard insert! The violin measures itself 2 5/8\" long and is made of thinly cut wood, and has AMAZING DETAIL including lithograph paper resembling faux TORTOISE SHELL, original tiny STRINGS, and fingerboard, sound holes and tailpiece made out of LEATHER PARTS!

Both the case and violin are in virtually UNTOUCHED CONDITION; we have never had or seen this particular set in such wonderful shape, rending a FABULOUS DISPLAY piece in your doll\'s MUSIC ROOM or SALONsetting!
