1960\'s -70\'s BEACHY TROPICAL Summer FUN necklace!NECK AREA FEATURES ROUND COBALT BLUE GLASS BEADS WITH SILVER PLATED SPACER BEADS IN BETWEEN THEM ALONG WITH TWO LARGE POURED GLASS COBALT BLUE BEADSMain design area features dangling rows comprised of tiny blue and clear
glass beads, other rows use
tiny black glass and rondell shaped, wooden beads, other wood beads which are a bit larger are also used in these long, straight, as well as, looped dangles. Larger glass beads are used at the ends of the straight rows. Best to see the photos as this is a complicated necklace, quite difficult to describe so imagine beading this !
There are 100\'s of tiny beads here. Probably over 1000! I will NOT count them, lol!
The best part are the hand painted fishes and turtles which drop from some of the the straight beaded rows. I believe they are made from some sort of composition, perhaps wood, but they are light in weight. The painting is wonderful, nicely detailed in wonderful colors
The necklace is adjustable as it has a double black, silk, cord that you can knot where you want it lengthwise. But to be sure, it is very long at where it\'s knotted now
very good to excellent vintage condition, the only thing I will point out is the tightly braided silk cord shows very minute, soft, fuzzies along the outer area of the cord. Nothing serious, only noticeable when looking for them.THE SCOPE AND SIZE OF THIS NECKLACE WAS DIFFICULT TO CAPTURE IN PHOTOS. THESE PICS JUST DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE
