Click to view supersize image1972-73 VintageFranklin Mint Apostle\'s Creedsterling silver spoons. This set features 12 spoons representing the 12 disciples, and we speculate that the slightlylarger \"master spoon\" represents our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. This is a beautiful piece that comes displayedin a ready to hang wooden frame. The spoons rest on a molded plastic insert with a red velveteen lining, in an ecclesiasticaldesign. Each spoon contains a different Apostle on the handle, andan excerpt from thestatement of Christian belief known as the Apostle\'s Creed on the spoon\'s bowl.Spoons are freshly hand polished, though we took care to leave some patination in the grooves of the pattern to contrast with the bright surfaces.The wooden frame is sturdy withminor surface lossesnear the top joints, andhas been amended with a wire for hanging as a wall display. On thevelveteen lining there shows aslight discoloration that we madeno effort to remediate; lining isin otherwise in clean condition,see pictures for more details. Overall this set is in beautiful shape, freshly hand-polished, otherwise havingzero-to-negligible wear consistent with occasional handling.
