STERLING VICTORIAN TYPE SCENT PERFUME PENDANT CHATELAINE BOY CHERUB SWING VINTGE:

Thisis a lovely sterling silver flask shaped like an early canteen usedby soldiers. It features a highly detailed portrait of a boy on aswing in a forest setting. The ropes holding the swing have beentied to a tree branch and the branch is bowing under the weight. Ithink the little guy is in for a tumble.

Theworkmanship is highly detailed and done in repoussé.

Theimage is the same on both sides. Pics (1) and (2) show both sides.

Ithas a screw-on dauber and a ring which attaches to the cap. The capscrews on very tightly and would hold perfume without leaking. InVictorian times, the ring or bale would have allowed it to besuspended from a chain on m\'lady\'s chatelaine.

Todayit would make an absolutely stunning pendant. The bale is largeenough to accommodate a velvet rope, thick silver chain or whateverpleases you.

Exactdate for the piece is unknown. It is very vintage but may not be a true antique.

Thecap is marked “Sterling.”

Excellent. No dings or dents or issues of any kind. Cap holds tight and secure.
