STERLING SILVER VINTAGE NAVAJO BUFFALO BROOCH TURQUOISE STONEALBERT AND JEANETTE CLEVELAND
This brooch is a great example of mid-century workmanship - the revered buffalo, a native american symbol that brings nourishment to the body and soul, and is great spiritual protector. The white buffalo is one of the most sacred of symbols. This buffalo measures 1 1/4\" tall and 1 3/4\' wide and is cut from 1 mm gauge sterling silver. In the very center is a beautiful green Carico Lake turquoise stone with an intense golden brown matrix. The stone measures 10 mm tall and 15 mm wide and is secured by a bezel setting and rises 6 mm above a base that is artfully hand tooled with intricate sun ray markings over the entire body of the buffalo. There is a 3/4\" safety roller closure on the back along with the maker\'s mark AJC for Albert and Jeanette Cleveland, and the Sterling stamp. Total weight is 8.3 grams.
