Story-A-Day was published weekly with 7 new stories for children. I don\'t know how many years this magazine was published, but not many. I have only found a few of these over the past 20 years. Great illustration of a downtown pet shop. There is a Puppies For Sale sign in the front window as well as three dachshund puppies who are quite startled to see a boy walking by with a pull toy of a dachshund who looks very much like the real doxies in the window. Illustration is by Gill Fox. There is no dachshund story inside, but there is a dog story: Dennis McGinnis and the Kerry Blue, the national dog of Ireland. There are two illustrations of the curly-haired black dog to go with the story. See photos of table of contents for the other six story titles.

SHIPPING: Depending on sales volume, I ship two or three times a week, usually Wednesday and Saturday and one other weekday. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I ship more often. Please disregard the 10-business-day shipping estimate. made me choose one. Normally I ship between 2-to-4 days after payment posts. If it is going to be longer than that, I shall e-mail you.
SHIPPING METHODS:
CARDS: I typically ship cards by First Class Letter rate to save you postage. However, it is not possible to do Delivery Confirmation on Letter rate, so if that is a concern to you, please email me before paying to ask for DC and I will switch shipping method to First Class Package rate which includes Delivery Confirmation. Please note that \'s default setting for First Class shipping is the Package rate, but what you are quoted in my listing is the lower Letter rate (if package weighs 3 ounces or less) with a USPS surcharge for cardboard protection added to envelope.
BOOKS: I ship books Media Mail to the US; all other destinations I ship First Class International if book weighs less than 4 pounds, and Priority International if it is over 4 pounds. It is very, very expensive to ship Priority International, even with Flat Rate, so please ask about shipping before you buy. For US buyers, Media Mail is slow, so if you need or want your book quickly, please ask for Priority and I shall re-invoice you.
MAGAZINES: I ship most magazines by First Class Parcel rate. This includes Delivery Confirmation. Typically, only one or two lightweight magazines will meet the 13-ounce or under maximum for First Class. Beyond that weight, new magazines will have to ship Priority, old magazines, Media.
EVERYTHING ELSE: If item is under 13 ounces or less, shipping is by First Class Parcel rate. Over 13 ounces, item will ship by Priority: Flat Rate, or by weight (whichever is less expensive), or by Regional rate where available. I do not use Parcel Post rate because it is nearly the same rate as Priority and ships much slower.
POSTAGE & HANDLING: P&H includes exact postage (within two ounces) plus a nominal handling fee to help with the expenses of doing business with /PayPal.
COMBO SHIPPING: I will be happy to combo ship, but must charge a modest handling fee for each item added to the package. doesn\'t offer a fee discount on combo purchases so I must pass some of that expense on to the buyer. If you are purchasing more than one item from me, please wait for a revised invoice, as the automatic one that sends shows full shipping for each item, and not the discount combo pricing that I Timely payment is expected. If there will be a delay, please email to let me know.
Returns are expensive and it is disappointing for the buyer to pay shipping both ways and end up with nothing, so please ask if you are unsure about anything in my listing.
