STRIKING ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ERA 15K GOLD IRIDESCENT BEETLE SHELL EARRINGS c1870:

A pair ofantiquenatural iridescentbeetle shell earrings, with15 carat gold (tests thereabouts) applied decoration and tiny ruby \'eyes\'.

Striking, unusual & so collectible...very wearable too!

CONDITION: Generally verygood. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use. One or two tiny areas of gold decoration loss, barely noticeable. Discrepancy to naturally occurring beetle sizes - see pictures.

DATE/MARKS: 19th Century.Not marked.

DIMENSIONS:Drops 45 mm& 51mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx.11.0grams together.
