This is a stunning black forest wooden oak hunting carving with the hare, woodcock bird & other of which:

During our research we have been informed itcertainly dates from the 19th century.

Of a black forest origin.

A wooden oak carving with the hunting detail of:

the large hare, bird of a woodcock, hunting horn, flask, pipe, hunting bag with shoulder strap, acorns & oak leaves.

A relief carving with its intricate carving and detail.

Flat backed for wall display.

It has an overall size of about 17.25 x 8.5inches.

Max depth of about 1.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes except:

loss of ears to the hare.

early glue repair to the oak leaves which can be better seen to the rear.

areas of minor chipping & nibbling.
