You are offerding on an INCREDIBLEOriginal Antique Large Majolica tile, made by Minton and dating from the late 1890s!!

Measuring just under 8" (7.9" / 20cms) This incredibly decorative tile oozes Art Nouveau design with its pair of Sparrowhawks perched amongst flowers and foliage in front of a heart motif, all under a rich majolica glaze of (unusually)pale pastel tones of green, reds/ pink and blue- Amazing!!

It is marked with the Minton marks on the verso, and this rare 8" tile was originally designed for a Minton Tiled Flower Box- as you can see in the attached catalogue page it was featured in!

This incredible tile is in good vintage condition- with no cracks or repairs, there is just a small rough patch to the outside edge at the base, along with the usual marks pips, scuffs and crazing you would expect, and this does not detract at all, and is only noted for accuracy (see photos) - It really is a STUNNER!!

This wonderfully rare and ridiculously decorative tile is an absolute MUSTHAVEfor any collector and those with a lovely house in which to display it!!
