Presented for sale is this Stunning Rare Antique Solid Silver Sampson Mordan Owl Menu Holder, hallmarked for Chester 1914.

This stunning rare antique solid silver menu holder made by the famous sought after maker Sampson Mordan & Co is in the form of an owl, it is superbly made with exquisite very fine detailing as would be expected of Mordan\'s work and stands on a heavy circular base. It is hallmarked to the base with the makers mark SM&Co, the Lion Passant denoting solid sterling silver, the Chester assay office Wheatsheaf and the date letter O for 1914, it is also engraved at the front of the base with the initials A.C.A, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description.

Measuring 1 1/4\" high by by 1 1/4\" in diameter across the base approx. it is in excellent antique used condition with no dents, dings, splits or repairs.
