This is a stunning George Jones majolica jug or pitcher with the hunting decoration around circumference, hinged pewter lid with the recumbent fox finial ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century.

Pattern number of: 3228.

Of an english origin.

Majolica jug or pitcher with its wonderful hunting decoration of:

the dog chasing a rabbit and to other side, a dog chasing a partridge.

Wonderful strong majolica colours with the leaves and flowers around the circumference.

Pewter lid with the recumbent fox finial and enamelled thumb finial.

Decorative handle with the twisted twine.

Decoration to the lower rim of leaves.

Majolica blue internally.

It has an overall height of about 12inches.

It has an overall max dia inc. decorative handle of about 5.5inches.

Base dia of about 4inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to:
