Pleaseconsider this classic example of spoon styled as earliest example of a Navajosilver tourist spoon (Circa 1910). Beautiful sterling silver spoon made to lookas handmade from silver ingot (hand wrought) by Navajo Indian featuring applied swastika having dark red enamel, (good luck sign of Indians) on top of handle. Below it has image of two crossed arrows and Navajo styledecorations down the handle. In the bowl it has light gold finish. Swastika was good luck Indiansymbol and also referred as wheeling logs.Nothing to do with later swastika associated with the German Nazis. It is made to look like early punched Navajodesign and hand hammered, cut, chiseled and filed condition is rudimentary asexpected without breaks or repairs. The spoon is ready to highlight any NativeAmerican spoon collection. Original Indian silversmiths of this time period,around 1900, used silver ingots, American or Mexican silver coins .900 puresilver, not exactly as this one is .925 sterling and is marked STERLING.
