A stunning large Victorian rose gold locket with an applied bird of paradise and seed pearls to the front.
The locket is not hallmarked but tested as around 9 carat rose gold, the bird and leaves are applied to the front are yellow gold and test as higher around 15 ct. The seed pearls are natural.
Inside is all original with the glass both sides.
Measures 2 & 1/2\" long including the loop.
Weighs 24.6 grams in total
There are two pin head dings to the back and around the bottom edge are two more dings. There is a stain to the back of the locket towards the bottom, not obvious but has to be mentioned and is probably where it has been tested in the past. There are also some dark spot stains to the gold leaves.
Other than that it is in very good antique condition and opens and closes well.
