Stunning Murrle Bennett Pendant Silver Enamel Art Nouveau Jugendstil Liberty Nr For Sale

This fantastic MB&Co pendant measures 50mm (2'') long including the suspension loop and pearl x 29mm (1.25'') across and weighs 8 grams. It is fully marked to the reverse with the silver purity mark of 950 and MB&Co for Murrle Bennett & Co the famous Art Nouveau Jewellery partnership. The pendant itself is a hand crafted high Jugendstil Art Nouveau design with blue and green enamel infill and a natural pearl suspended from the bottom typical of the designs produced for and retailed through Liberty & Co in London and it is very easy to see the design influences of Archibald Knox and Theodor Fahrner especially in the colours of the enamel. It is in honest original condition with no damage to the silver and a surface chip to the enamel in the centre section which is hard to detect from any distance and almost impossible to photograph (see all 10 photos). A very fine example of Murrle Bennett & Co work in a fine Liberty design and a very wearable and striking piece.
