Here is a seriously heavy antique copper & brass coal scuttle.It was made to last forever with extra protection to the base - please see the photos.The thick COPPER handle to the top is attached by attractive quality plates and there is a further wooden handle to the back to enable you to tip this bucket easily.This handle is also attractively attached.The way this coal scuttle has been made dates it to the Georgian period and as said is very heavy.It measures 20 inches acrossby 12.5 inches deepand it stands 13 inches high with out handle19 inches high with handle.This is a beautiful coal scuttleand will be take pride of placein your hearth.
