A top quality large Victorian sterlingsilver butter spade. It is hallmarked for Sheffield 1868 with the makers marks being those of Martin Hall and Co.It has been very well made from thick gauge silver with very fine engraved detail and comes complete with its case. It is in superb condition being free from dings splitsdistortions and repairs. The case is also outstanding. It is a large example measuring 7.5 inches (18.8cms)long and weighs 55 grams. A stunning rare piece.
