SUPER QUALITY PAIR OF HM SOLID SILVER/GILT VICTORIAN SERVING SPOONS- 1837- 147g:

Fabulous matching pair of large and heavy ornately detailed
serving spoons. In English hallmarked solid silver with gilded
bowls; they date to the early Victorian era.Please view the picturesd above as they hopefully show all in
detail.The spoons measure 21.6 cms long.
One weighs 75g, the other 72g - combined weight 147g (approx).One spoon bears a partial makers mark possibly \'S..\', then
moving down there is the lion denoting sterling silver, the
panthers head for London, the date letter \'B\' for 1837, and the
duty mark.
The second spoon is the same except that the makers mark is
not apparent.Beautiful crisp and deep engraving to both sides of the handles,
and onto the back of the bowls.There are vacant cartouches to both spoons. The gilt bowls are
in excellent condition, and overall these superb spoons are in
excellent condition with no dings/dents/repairs evident; just
minor surface scratches that are hardly noticeable. They appear
